SFG20 / HTM: Automating
Maintenance Planning (EAM Integration)

Launched in 1990 by the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA), SFG20 is recognised as the industry standard for building maintenance specifications. It is the essential tool for facilities managers, building owners, contractors and consultants to help save time, energy and money, whilst remaining compliant.

It is a web-based service, with a growing library of over 1200 maintenance schedules, covering more than 70 equipment types.

Steve Tomkins, BESA's Head of Business Development at SFG20, gave us an overview, and some of the latest news from SFG20/30 and HTM. Dave Tattersall, Service Solutions Manager at Optimum Group, gave us an understanding of SFG20 from a client perspective, with real-life examples of how the FM industry can really benefit from SFG20 integration and automation with CAFM systems.

Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (Case Study)

How to achieve industry compliance within a highly regulated setting

As the challenges of COVID continue into 2021, we shared an Enterprise Asset Management case study in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, having recently completed a successful IBM Maximo EAM upgrade project for a major UK based Pharmaceutical company, highlighting some of the key challenges and benefits we experienced during the project, including how the outcome for the upgrade was so successful in driving regulatory compliance.

A large UK pharmaceutical manufacturer was using IBM Maximo version 7.1, to manage its critical assets. However, the existing system was no longer supported by IBM and an opportunity to improve business processes was seen by the plant maintenance team.

To ensure continued compliance with the stringent regulations and standards inherent in the industry, BPD Zenith implemented the latest version of the EAM solution with a strong focus on safety, reliability, availability and quality control.
